“We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian”
I love being an Australian and I love how our country is formed by people of all walks of life.
Yesterday I spent the day with people from New Zealand, UK, Scotland, Canada and Argentina. We carried a massive gazebo, a BBQ, tables and chairs to the Broadwater and soaked up the sun while eating and drinking the afternoon away. It was also the Husband’s best friends birthday so we celebrated with a homemade carrot cake, courtesy of my Husband out of all people, with vanilla cream frosting. Then cooled off in the perfectly warm water.
The weather was amazing and everyone was completely lapping it up. People were good spirits and it showed. The Broadwater was full of families and friends enjoying sizzling BBQ’s and swimming in the ocean. It was exactly what we all needed.
I woke up this morning feeling so refreshed even though I am a complete shade of pink today but the fresh air, sun and surf has made me feel like a new person.
I hope everyone had a fantastic day yesterday, just like we did!
